The main ingredient of "Warabimochi" is warabi powder made
from edible wild "Warabi" (bracken) roots. |
Warabi powder is made from the roots gathered by hands. It takes 1
or 2 years to become as on the picture. |
We grind the roots
into powder. |
The starch is taken out from the powder and put into a tank. |
We
filter several times
Once it's done, there are 3 layers of starch: "medium",
""prime", and "ultimate". The "ultimate"
has scarcity value because we can only produce 200 Kg per year. |
We
dry the powder for one month and an half. |
